In occupied Crimea, gasoline sales at gas stations were suspended on June 21 following an attack on fuel facilities in Kerch.

This was reportedbyKrym.Realii, citing statements from the occupying authorities.

According to Sergey Aksyonov, the Russian-appointed head of Crimea, starting at 9:00 a.m. Moscow time, all Crimean gas stations temporarily stopped selling gasoline regardless of the payment method—whether cash, bank cards, or vouchers. Currently, fuel is being supplied only to services that ensure the “vital functions and security” of the occupied peninsula.

Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-appointed head of Sevastopol, also reported delays in fuel deliveries to the city. As a result, gas stations in the TES network have temporarily suspended refueling via QR codes, allowing only emergency services to refuel.

In addition, ferry service across the Kerch Strait has been temporarily suspended as of June 21, according to the Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters.

Earlier, in occupied Kerch, a fire broke out at a fuel terminal following a series of explosions. There is currently no independent confirmation of the cause of the fire. At the same time, this is happening against the backdrop of a fuel crisis that began in occupied Crimea in late May 2026 due to problems with gasoline supplies.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian PresidentVolodymyr Zelenskyystated that the fuel problems in occupied Crimea are the result of strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian military and fuel logistics along the coast of the Sea of Azov.

In addition, amid problems with fuel supplies and transportation logistics, shortages of certain food items have begun to appear in stores in annexed Crimea. In particular, a number of supermarkets have imposed restrictions on the sale of certain products. According to information circulating on social media, the “Yabluko” supermarket chain has limited sales of sugar, buckwheat, and rice. At “PUD” supermarkets in Sevastopol, shoppers report a lack of sugar and salt, as well as difficulties in purchasing sunflower oil.
