Five children hospitalized in Mykolaiv after visiting an entertainment venue

In Mykolaiv, an outbreak of intestinal infection among children was reported after a visit to an entertainment venue. A total of 6 cases were registered, five children were hospitalized.

According to Mykolaiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

According to doctors, all the patients are children under the age of 17. One child is being treated on an outpatient basis at the parents' request.

Five children were hospitalized at the regional children's hospital with a preliminary diagnosis of severe gastroenterocolitis. Currently, their condition has stabilized and positive dynamics is observed.

The Center's specialists, together with the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, are conducting an epidemiological investigation. They have already taken samples from the facility's equipment, tested the water and examined the staff. Disinfection has also been carried out.

The name of the facility has not been officially disclosed, as the source of the infection has not yet been identified. At the same time, according to MikVisti, it is the Funprostir entertainment center, which is currently temporarily closed and is awaiting test results.

Recently, an outbreak of an infectious disease was reported in a kindergarten in Mykolaiv. The police received a report of cases of the disease among the children of the institution.

In turn, the Mykolaiv City Council noted that the situation is under control. The city authorities are working with law enforcement and specialized services to find out the causes of the incident.

Earlier, Intent wrote that in Mykolaiv, law enforcement officers launched a pre-trial investigation into the mass poisoning of children in one of the city's entertainment venues.

According to preliminary data, seven children with symptoms of acute intestinal infection turned to doctors. Two of them were hospitalized. The condition of the victims is being clarified.

Then the HAPPY LAND children's entertainment center temporarily stopped working on March 18. The facility confirmed that it had received complaints from visitors about feeling unwell after staying there.
