On the night of June 23, the temporarily occupied Crimea came under yet another drone attack. Amid reports of explosions, the occupying authorities closed the Crimean Bridge to traffic, and satellite images captured several fire hotspots in the Kerch area and at the “Kavkaz” port.
This was reported by Crimean monitoring Telegram channels.
According to monitoring sources, traffic on the Crimean Bridge was blocked around 11:00 p.m. and remained restricted throughout the night. At the same time, Russian channels warned of the threat of strikes against the Kerch Peninsula, Kerch, the Crimean Bridge, the Taman Peninsula, and the port of “Kavkaz.”
The monitoring group “Crimean Wind,” citing satellite imagery, reported several fire outbreaks on the Kerch Peninsula. In particular, new fires were detected at the oil terminal in Kerch, which had already been attacked on June 21.
Fires have also been reported at the entrance to Kerch and near the village of Bagherove. According to the monitoring group, these areas may house Russian S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.
In addition, new signs of fire were detected at the oil terminal in the port of “Kavkaz,” as well as near the “Pivdenna” railway station in Kerch.
The Supernova+ news outlet reported explosions heard overnight in occupied Crimea. The channel also stated that the TES-Terminal oil product transshipment and storage complex may have been hit. However, there is currently no independent confirmation of this information.
As of the morning of June 23, the Crimean occupation administration had not officially reported any fires or the consequences of a possible attack.
Recently, operators from the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center struck an oil depot at the Kerch oil terminal, as well as the “Kasta-2E2” radar stations near Kurortny and the “Nebo-U” in the Kerch area.
