Five people were killed in explosions on the coast of Odesa region this summer due to the disregard of the ban on swimming on beaches.

Maryna Averina, a spokeswoman for the Main Department of the State Emergency Service, told Accents.

According to her, two people died in early summer, and three on August 10. The rescuer also said that all beaches that are not included in the list of 32 official beaches are dangerous, but vacationers deliberately ignore the prohibitions and safety rules.

"They neglect their own lives and the lives of their children. At the beginning of the summer, two men died over the weekend. When a man from Rivne region died, he came to rest with his children, and the children saw their father torn to pieces and not even all parts of his body were pulled out of the sea. And one more case - a man and a woman from Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi," said the rescuer.

The spokeswoman also spoke about the danger of swimming far from the shore. According to her, emergency services are prohibited from going out to sea, so no one can save a person who has swum far away.
