A resident of Mykolaiv region was sentenced to 15 years in prison for high treason. He passed the coordinates of the Ukrainian military to Russian special services.

This was reported by the Center for Investigative Journalism with reference to the court verdict.

Serhiy Vasilevsky, a resident of Bakai village in Mykolaiv region, was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for treason and passing information about the Armed Forces to the enemy.

The man, who was not officially employed, collected and transmitted the coordinates of military equipment, personnel, airfields and critical infrastructure via Telegram in 2024 to a representative of the Russian special services, Sergei Lebedev, nicknamed "Shaggy," who is hiding in occupied Donetsk.

Vasilevsky lived near the military airfield, drove a car with a video recorder and recorded everything on camera, and later passed the materials to the occupiers.

He was detained in December 2024, and on June 27, 2025, the Voznesensk City District Court found him guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 and Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. All of his property was confiscated, including his land, car, DVR, appliances, and even musical instruments.

According to media reports, Vasilevsky was a retailer until 2011. His contact with Lokhmatyi is no exception: he oversees an agent network in southern Ukraine. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the SBU has exposed more than 30 informants of this Russian agent.

Also in June, a postman from Mykolaiv was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for treason . In February 2023, he agreed to cooperate with a representative of the Russian Federation, transmitting data on the location of the Ukrainian military and critical infrastructure facilities via Telegram, and called for strikes on them. The traitor even reported the coordinates of his cousin's house, trying to scare her in this way because of a personal conflict.
