Energy facility in Odesa region suffered from shelling at night

On the night of January 17, the enemy struck another cynical blow at the energy infrastructure of Odesa region.

According to the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, one of the facilities in Odesa region was damaged and a fire broke out.

No one was killed or injured, critical infrastructure and life support facilities are operating normally. According to the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast, the fire has been extinguished. The building with property and vehicles were damaged.

The Air Force Command reported that on the night of January 17, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 115 Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmass attack drones and other types of drones. According to preliminary data, as of 7:30 a.m., air defense defenses neutralized 96 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country. However, 16 attack drones were hit at 11 locations, and the downed drones fell (wreckage) at two locations.

On January 15, the terrorist country of Russia fired a ballistic missile at the port of Chornomorsk. The strike damaged containers and caused an oil leak. Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that one crew member was injured in the attack. The vessel was preparing to transport containerized cargo. The missile attack damaged three containers and caused an oil leak. To localize the consequences of the incident, a boom barrier was installed in the port.

On January 12, an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle hit a Panamanian-flagged tanker waiting to enter the port to load vegetable oil near the coast of Odesa region. One crew member was wounded in the attack.

Also on January 10, the Russian army attacked industrial infrastructure in Odesa region.

On January 9, a Russian attack drone also hit a civilian ship flying the foreign flag of St. Kitts and Nevis on its way to the port of Chornomorsk, which was loading grain cargo within the Ukrainian Sea Corridor. There were casualties. As a result of the attack, an empty tank was damaged on the territory of a port company and insulation caught fire.
