Electricians restore power supply to critical infrastructure in Odesa district

Electricians of DTEK Odesa Power Grids have restored power supply to critical infrastructure facilities in Odesa region after an enemy attack.

This was reported by the distribution operator's press service.

Over the past day, the company's specialists have also restored power to 4,423 homes.

"15 teams of power engineers have been working non-stop for the second day to restore what was destroyed by the enemy and return light to every home as soon as possible," DTEK emphasized.

On August 31, the company reported that full restoration of electricity supply is tentatively scheduled for 23:00 on September 2. The August 31 attack in Chornomorsk was called the largest since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. According to DTEK Odesa Power Grids, four power facilities were damaged. On the night of August 31, the enemy attacked with 142 Shahed-type attack drones and various types of imitation drones. According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense systems shot down or suppressed 126 enemy drones.

More than 29 thousand subscribers were left without electricity. Critical infrastructure is powered by generators, and we have opened "Stability Points" in the city. DTEK power engineers have restored electricity to nearly 5,000 families after the nighttime shelling.

On Sunday evening, Chornomorsk Mayor Vasily Gulyaev said that water supply has been fully restored to the lower floors of the city's high-rise buildings. As for the upper floors, the work is still ongoing and water will be supplied as scheduled. All utility companies are working to eliminate the consequences of the enemy's massive attack.

On the night of August 20, Russian troops, continuing their war and invasion of Ukraine, also attacked the Izmail district with unmanned aerial vehicles - Shahed kamikaze drones. The attack damaged port infrastructure facilities. Fires broke out on the territory, and rescuers were engaged to extinguish them. One person was injured in the attack.
