Eight representatives of the occupying administration of Crimea have been subjected to sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine for collaborating with Russia. Among them are pseudo-officials of the Yalta City Council who participated in illegal elections and supported Russian troops.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The sanctions were imposed by Presidential Decree No. 960/2026, which enacted the NSDC’s decision of September 17, 2026.
According to the prosecutor’s office, all eight individuals are Ukrainian citizens who voluntarily collaborated with the occupying authorities. In particular, in 2024, they participated in organizing and conducting illegal elections, after which they assumed positions in the authorities established by the occupiers.
Among those sanctioned is the so-called chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Maternal and Child Welfare, Youth, and Sports of the Yalta City Council. According to law enforcement officials, he disseminated Russian cultural narratives among Crimean youth through the educational system.
