Drones, armored vehicles and special equipment: what millions from the budget were spent on for Kherson police

In 2025, the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson Oblast spent the most money on the purchase of quadcopters and high-tech devices that help them work in the frontline region.

How much it costs and what the money from the local budget is spent on, showed the analysis of Intent with the help of Zakupivli.pro . It should be borne in mind that the analysis is based on the expected cost of procurement, as the initial price may decrease during auctions.

The management started the year with the costs of heat and electricity - UAH 4.6 million was planned for this purpose. UAH 793,000 was spent on repairing the Renault Duster, and another UAH 6.3 million was spent on servicing cars of different brands. Spare parts cost 2.7 million, tires - 3.1 million. Gasoline cost about 1.7 million, and almost 4 million was allocated for the purchase of firewood.

In April, the department purchased a DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise quadcopter for UAH 840 thousand and an Autel EVO Max 4T quadcopter for UAH 1.1 million. At the same time, they bought an iRay Saim SCP 19W thermal imaging scope for UAH 287 thousand and an NVG 30 night vision device for UAH 214 thousand.

In May, the police purchased a VAMPIR unmanned aerial vehicle and an unmanned aerial vehicle of the same series for a total of UAH 1.1 million. They also ordered a Skoda Karoq Selection 1.4/110kW 8 AQ special purpose vehicle for 2.6 million. Smaller purchases included a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo 3D printer for UAH 74.4 thousand, rechargeable batteries for UAH 73.5 thousand, and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 tablet for almost UAH 60 thousand.

In July, the department purchased another DJI Mavic 3 quadcopter for more than a million hryvnias, a DJI Matrice 4T quadcopter for more than 2 million, and an ECOFLOW DELTA Pro charging station for 174 thousand. Separately, UAH 6.3 million was spent to equip a cargo and passenger vehicle with armor protection. Other purchases include a repeater for FPV drones for UAH 65,998, FRANEK FPV drone detectors for UAH 294,652, DJI Mavic 3 E propellers for UAH 34,560, and DJI Intelligent Flight Battery for Mavic 3 for UAH 161,000.

In August, the police ordered a simulator for shooting at moving targets with elements of virtual reality "Shooter VR FPV" for half a million hryvnias, a software and hardware electronic warfare complex "Beton" worth 760 thousand hryvnias, and an electronic warfare complex "Damba" for 875 thousand hryvnias. Also this month, the re-equipment of the Leleka-100 drone was ordered for UAH 835 thousand.

In October, 240 thousand hryvnias were allocated from the budget for body-worn video recorders. During this period, new drones were also purchased: a DJI Avata 2 FPV quadcopter for UAH 240 thousand, a DJI Matrice 4T for UAH 510 thousand, a DJI Mavic 3 Pro Fly for UAH 122 thousand, a DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise for UAH 735 thousand, and a DJI Mavic 3 Thermal for UAH 420 thousand.

In addition, the police purchased a FORTE FT300GY-C5J 300 motorcycle for UAH 308 thousand and allocated UAH 371 thousand for food for service dogs.

In total, in 2025, the Main Department of the National Police in Kherson region spent more than UAH 46 million on the most expensive procurements. Most of the money was spent on the purchase of drones, equipment, and repair and re-equipment of vehicles.

Last year, the Center for Public Investigations analyzed 30 agreements worth more than UAH 30 million concluded by institutions in Odesa, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions from May 1 to August 8, which included the purchase of Mavic vehicles of various models and configurations.
