Civilians suffer from a new wave of hostile attacks in Kherson region

Over the past 24 hours, Russians attacked more than 30 settlements in Kherson region, hitting homes, infrastructure and people. Six residents were injured, housing, a gas pipeline and transportation were destroyed.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

Between May 1 and May 2, dozens of settlements in the Kherson region came under attack from Russian drones, artillery and aircraft. The enemy shelled Antonivka, Zelenivka, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Novoraysk, Ivanivka, Prydniprovske, Komyshany, Veletynske, Ingulets, Kizomys, Tyahyntsi, Kherson city and others.

Residential areas and critical infrastructure were hit. In several settlements, three multi-storey buildings, 11 private houses, a gas pipeline, an outbuilding and cars were damaged. Six civilians were injured as a result of the shelling.

From April 30 to May 1, the occupiers targeted residential areas and social infrastructure facilities. As a result of the attacks, 5 multi-storey buildings, 12 private houses, a gas pipeline, a cell tower and a private car were damaged. Two civilians were injured.

On April 29, three multi-storey buildings, nine private houses, an agricultural company, a gas pipeline, a garage and several cars were damaged during the shelling. The shelling resulted in 12 civilians being injured.

On April 26-27, Kherson region was subjected to massive shelling. The attacks damaged six private houses, an outbuilding and several cars. One person was killed and five others were injured.

According to the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Prokudin, Russia shelled the region more than 1,900 times in April, targeting residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and roads. The shelling killed 22 people and injured 215, including five children.

The occupiers have also intensified drone attacks: over 2,600 strikes were recorded over the month. They claimed the lives of seven people and injured 110 others, including one child.
