Former world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko has sold his house in the United States for $2,470,000.

This is 129 thousand less than he had planned, the Champion publication reported.

The house has five bedrooms and five bathrooms (one incomplete). Also on the 1-acre plot (approximately 4,47 square meters) are garages for eight cars, a saltwater pool, a spa, two barbecue areas, and a basketball or pickleball court.

The publication stated that the boxer had planned to sell his house in April 2025, but the sale process was in its final stages, but force majeure occurred and the parties could not reach an agreement. In total, the athlete tried to sell the house for a little over a year.

In June, Vasyl Lomachenko, a 37-year-old boxer from Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, a former world champion in three weight categories, announced that he had decided to end his professional career and refused to perform anymore.

The journalists also investigated how Vasyl Lomachenko disposed of the earnings from his boxing career. The athlete invested in the construction of a hotel in Odesa region, but some of his investments have links to Russia. Famous Ukrainian boxer and two-time Olympic champion Vasyl Lomachenko has earned millions of dollars over the years and is actively investing in various projects. Among them is the Loma Club Hotel in Zatoka, built before the full-scale invasion. This is the athlete's contribution to the Ukrainian economy.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Vasyl Lomachenko is also known for his support of the branch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine, better known as the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). For example, in March 2023, the athlete posted a video on Instagram of the Union of Orthodox Journalists news agency, which publishes news from the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.
