Oleh Zhyrun, the secretary of the Savran village council, who had been leading the community as acting head since the summer of 2024, resigned.

Oleh Zhyrun announced that he had written a letter of resignation during a session of the Savran village council.

Ruslan Pitak, the head of the Podil district administration, hinted at the session that Oleh Zhyrun's resignation was due to a conflict between the administration and the deputies. He stated that the deputies of the Savranska community do not support the program of the Odesa Regional Military Administration aimed at helping the military.

"It looks like a demarche and sabotage on your part. On the one hand, there are your internal issues, in which no one interferes. But there are national programs, the program of the Regional State Administration, which you have to fulfill and will fulfill. If any of you think that you will not approve this decision, I have maximum powers to change this in your community. If you cannot vote, a military administration will be introduced to help the military," said Ruslan Pitak.

The Savrani village community, once a district center, was left without a head in February 2023 when deputies of the Savrani village council of Podil district, Odesa region, terminated the powers of the first deputy village head Mykola Bazey, Savrani village head Serhiy Duzhiy, and council secretary Svitlana Gerasymishina. The deputies argued that the council leadership had made significant mistakes and distrusted the officials.

Meanwhile, personnel changes took place in another former district center, Kilia. After the detention of the mayor of Kilia, Vyacheslav Chernyavsky, the newly elected secretary, Serhiy Mergut, was temporarily entrusted with his duties. The deputies supported his candidacy in a secret ballot at the city council session.
