On the night of June 22, Russian drones struck three civilian merchant ships that were heading for ports in the Greater Odesa area.

This was reported by Oleksiy Kuleba, Ukraine’s Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

The drone strike caused a fire on a Panamanian-flagged vessel. A crew member—a 58-year-old cook and Egyptian citizen—was killed. Eight sailors, including citizens of Turkey and India, were forced to evacuate onto a liferaft. The vessel sustained significant damage and was no longer seaworthy.

Last night, the Russians also attacked ships flying the flags of Palau and Belize. There were no casualties on these vessels, and the damaged ships continued on their way.

Additionally, according to Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, on the evening of June 21, the enemy launched an “Iskander” ballistic missile strike on the territory of an agricultural enterprise.

The attack caused vehicles and fuel tanks to catch fire. A warehouse was destroyed. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and three others were injured. Information regarding the casualties and the consequences of the enemy attack is being verified.

During another Russian attack on the night of June 21, a drone flew into a residential area in the Izmail district and struck a house. The house and an outbuilding sustained significant damage, and a fire broke out as a result. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and there were no casualties or injuries.

The day before, the enemy targeted infrastructure in the Odesa region with drones twice in a single day. First, on the morning of June 20,an enemy Shahed-type strike drone attacked a gas station in the southern part of the Odesa region. The strike caused a gas tanker and the exterior of the control room building to catch fire. Rescue workers extinguished the fire. Cleanup efforts are ongoing. There were no casualties.
