In 2025, Mykolaiv region recorded positive changes in the economy and labor market. The region registered 940 new enterprises, and the number of jobs increased by 4.7%, which is about 11 thousand new vacancies.

This was reported by Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, in an interview with Novosti.Live.

According to him, during the year, 940 companies re-registered in Mykolaiv region from other regions of Ukraine. This employment growth was the first such figure in many years and was made possible by anti-crisis programs, support from international partners and the attraction of investors.

At the same time, the regional administration is already formulating further plans to support the economy. In 2026, two more business support programs are planned to be introduced in Mykolaiv region. In addition, the region has already adopted a program for the development of industrial parks.

According to Vitaliy Kim, industrial parks should become one of the key tools for the region's long-term economic recovery. Taking into account international experience, this approach is one of the few ways to quickly restore the economy, although it is a decade-long process.

The Head of the UBA emphasized that the development of industrial parks is a strategic decision not for one year, but for 20 years or more. At the same time, the foundations for this need to be laid now so that the region has stable growth opportunities in the future. The basic program has already been adopted, so industrial parks in Mykolaiv region are going to be actively developed.

According to the State Tax Service, during the first eight months of 2025, enterprises in Mykolaiv region paid over UAH 2.2 billion in value added tax (VAT) to the state budget from the sale of goods produced in Ukraine.

In addition, in 2026, the tax authorities plan to conduct 73 business inspections in Mykolaiv region. Overall, the number of planned inspections in Ukraine is 4,558, which is almost 5% less than last year.

For comparison, the tax service plans to conduct 246 business inspections in Odesa region, which is more than three times higher than in Mykolaiv.
