Air Defense Forces Destroy Enemy Drone Over Kherson Region: Details of the Attack on the Region

One person was killed and 2 others were injured as a result of Russian aggression. On the night of January 20, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 1 Shahed-131/136 over the territory of Kherson region.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the Russian military hit critical and social infrastructure; residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, they damaged 11 private houses. The occupiers also vandalized private cars. As a result of Russian aggression, 1 person was killed and 2 others were wounded.

Over the past day, Antonivka, Shlyakhove, Mykilske, Beryslav, Daryivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Bilozerka, Zamozhne, Stanislav, Novoberislav, Tyahyntsi, Novotyahyntsi, Prydniprovske came under enemy fire and air strikes, Zelenivka, Komyshany, Inzhenerne, Zmiyivka, Vesele, Veletynske, Olgivka, Mylove, Mykolaivka, Monastyrske, Novooleksandrivka, Tokarivka, Ivanivka, Kachkarivka, Kozatske, Lvov, Sadove, Sofiyivka and the city of Kherson.

At around nine o'clock in the morning, Russian troops shelled the village of Shlyakhove using artillery. The attack damaged private homes. However, there were no casualties. At about 14:00, Chervonyi Mayak came under enemy artillery fire. As a result of the shelling, a 24-year-old man who was on the street at the time of the attack sustained fatal injuries.

The day before, on January 18, the Russian military damaged 17 private houses. As a result of Russian aggression, 3 people were killed and 6 others were injured.

Recently, a volunteer from Kherson, Iryna Bayrachenko, was killed by a Russian drone. Her schoolgirl daughter Margarita was left without a mother. On January 14, a 56-year-old nurse of a local outpatient clinic was killed in the suburb of Kherson, Antonivka, as a result of Russian shelling. And on January 8, Roman Matviychuk, the head of one of the neighborhood committees of the Korabelny district of Kherson, was killed in Naddnipryanske by a Russian drone attack.
