A young man died in an accident in Odesa

Petro Tverdovsky, a student of the Odesa National Law Academy, died on October 4 as a result of a car accident in Odesa.

This was reported on the Instagram page of the university's student council.

"On October 4, the life of Petro Tverdovsky, a second-year student of the Faculty of Judicial and International Law, tragically ended," the student council wrote.

According to unofficial reports, the boy was the son of the owner of the Ithaca and Paladium clubs. According to Dmytro Sliuta, head of the Department for Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Oblast, law enforcement officers have previously established that the 18-year-old BMW driver lost control while driving and drove off the roadway, where he hit a tree. The 20-year-old passenger of the car, Petro Tverdovsky, died on the spot. The driver was hospitalized with various injuries.

Investigators registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations information on the grounds of Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is a violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by a person driving a vehicle, if they caused the death of the victim or caused serious bodily injury.

In September, the daughter of the former mayor of Kiliya, Pavlo Boichenko, Kateryna, died in an accident in Izmail, Odesa region. The tragedy occurred on September 5. Kateryna Boychenko was hit by a 19-year-old BMW driver when she was crossing the road on an unregulated pedestrian crossing. Earlier, the mayor of Reni, Ihor Plekhov, was involved in an accident between the settlements of Vvedenka and Svitlodolynske in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of Odesa region. The mayor's SUV drove off the road and overturned.
