A woman from the Odesa region was punished for disrupting the mobilization

Posts on a messaging app about the locations of the TCC’s mobile units resulted in a criminal conviction for a woman from the Odesa region. The court ruled that disseminating such information helped individuals evade mobilization measures and hindered the military’s operations. 

This was reported by Intent, citing the ruling of the Bilyayivsky District Court.

Investigators determined that the woman was an active member of a Viber group created to share information about the locations of representatives of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) and the Special Forces (SP), the police, and mobile checkpoints. The group had about 5,000 members. Throughout 2025, the woman repeatedly posted messages about the locations of mobilization groups. In her messages, she specified exactly where TCC representatives were located, how many vehicles they had, and in which direction they were moving.

Among the posts she shared were warnings about the presence of mobile groups at the turn toward Bilyayivka, in the village of Mayory, near the old dairy plant, and at the fork in the road near Teplodar. Some of the posts confirmed the accuracy of information published by other group members.

The court established that on the specified dates and at the specified locations, TCC military personnel, together with police officers, were conducting operations to notify conscripts and verify mobilization records. Law enforcement officials concluded that the dissemination of such information allowed conscripts to avoid mobilization, bypass inspection sites, and thereby hindered the military’s work.

During the trial, the woman fully admitted her guilt and stated that she did not realize the consequences of her actions and was unaware of the criminal liability for disseminating such information. She also donated 10,000 hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The court sentenced her to five years in prison but suspended the sentence with a three-year probationary period. In addition, the mobile phone she used to post messages in the Viber group was confiscated and turned over to the state.

In April, a court in Odesa sentenced a woman who had systematically “leaked” the locations of the Territorial Recruitment Centers via Telegram. The messages included specific intersections, bus stops, and even stores where mobilization activities were taking place.
