In Mykolaiv, a procurement tender has been announced for the construction of a radiation shelter for Kindergarten No. 126. The cost of the work is nearly 98.1 million hryvnias, and the project is funded by the European Union.

This is stated in an announcement on the Prozorro portal.

The civil defense shelter will be built on the grounds of Preschool No. 126 at 64-b Myru Avenue.

The client for the project is the Capital Construction Department of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The estimated cost of the procurement is 98,090,956.92 hryvnias.

Funding for the project comes from two sources:

The procurement is being conducted under the Ukraine Facility program. The project aims to ensure safe conditions in preschool and general secondary education institutions.

According to the draft contract, the contractor must complete all work by December 30, 2027. The contract itself will remain in effect until December 31, 2027, or until the parties have fully fulfilled their obligations. The schedule may be adjusted depending on the client’s receipt of permits and the financing plan.

After the contract is signed, the winning bidder must begin work within five business days. If the contractor fails to start construction on time or proceeds so slowly that completion by the deadline becomes impossible, the client will have the right to terminate the contract early.

The main criterion for selecting the winner is price, which accounts for 100% of the bid evaluation.

The bid bond amount for participants has been set at 98,090 hryvnias.

The procurement process is currently in the stage of reviewing the submitted proposals.

Recently, in Mykolaiv, basic shelters were inspected, and a number of serious violations were identified. Among them were the dilapidated condition of one of the facilities, the lack of accessibility for people with limited mobility, and the absence of fire extinguishing equipment.
