A sailor from a ship that came under drone attack while en route to Reni has died

<span><span><span><span><span><span>An injured crew member of the Gas Lisbon, on board which Russian drones exploded, has died in the hospital. The deceased was one of three crew members who were hospitalized following the incident.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span> Tudor-Ion Năstăsescu, director of the Tulcea County Medical Center, noted that the man suffered pulmonary complications related to inhalation injury. This ultimately led to his death. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>According to Năstase, the two other injured sailors remain hospitalized in the intensive care unit. They are in stable condition, and their lives are not in danger. The hospital director noted that they do not need to be transferred to other medical facilities.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The tanker Gas Lisbon was attacked by Russian drones on July 21 while en route from the port of Alexandria in Egypt to Reni, transiting through Romania’s exclusive economic zone. The vessel was carrying nearly 3,800 metric tons of propane. The attack caused an explosion on board. After a fire broke out and the ship’s superstructure was damaged, all 17 crew members took shelter in the bow. They were later evacuated by rescue teams from the Romanian Agency for the Safety of Human Life at Sea (ARSVOM). </span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier, it was reported thatMaerskhad suspended operations at the port of Chornomorsk due to shelling. The vessel MEDKON MIRA V.629S, carrying imported cargo that was scheduled to be unloaded at the Chornomorsk fishing port, will be rerouted and unloaded at the port of Constanța (Romania). All import shipments destined for the port of Chornomorsk that are currently in Port Said (Egypt) or are expected to arrive there are also scheduled to be rerouted to Constanta.
