A network of kindergartens for more than 3,000 children has been approved in Kherson

The Kherson City Military Administration has approved the network of preschool education institutions and preschool divisions within schools for the 2026/2027 school year. 

The corresponding order was signed by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration.

According to the document, the network includes 171 groups for 3,059 children. The list includes municipal, state, and private preschool institutions. Among them are the private child development centers “Mudryk” and “Club Nika,” the “Chabad” educational association with in-depth study of Hebrew and English, as well as the preschool education facility of the National Police of Ukraine.

Inclusive groups were approved separately, as were special groups for children with intellectual and functional speech difficulties.

Funding for the maintenance of preschool education institutions and bonus payments to teaching staff will be provided within the approved budget.

Earlier, the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, announced that approximately 60,000 people remain in Kherson despite the difficult security situation.

According to him, as of September 2026, approximately 4,800 children reside in the Kherson community.

Just a few days ago, five more children were returned from the occupied part of the Kherson region to territory controlled by Ukraine. The minors, aged 3 to 15, are undergoing reintegration and receiving the necessary assistance.
