A judge from Mykolaiv sold real estate for 1.8 million before stepping down

On July 28, the High Council of Justice approved the resignation of Andriy Alekseev, a judge of the Mykolaiv Regional Commercial Court, at his own request.

During the meeting, members of the High Council of Justice reviewed the materials regarding the judge’s resignation under general circumstances.

Following the review, the Council approved Andriy Alekseev’s resignation request and terminated his powers as a judge of the Mykolaiv Regional Commercial Court.

He had been working at this court since 2017.

As Intent found out, in his annual declaration for 2025, the judge indicated that he owns two apartments in Mykolaiv with areas of 37.2 and 62 square meters, as well as two plots of land, each measuring 1,000 square meters.

In addition, he and his wife jointly own an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 38.9 square meters.

The judge’s wife declared a residential house with an area of 369 square meters, a land plot with an area of 559 square meters, and another apartment in Mykolaiv. The declaration also states that their daughter rents a room in Austria.

In addition to real estate, the judge indicated that he uses a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350D, which belongs to his wife, free of charge.

The judge’s wife earned the family’s highest income in 2025—5.78 million hryvnias from independent professional activities. She also declared 222,000 hryvnias in income from renting out property and charitable donations. Andriy Alekseev himself reported social benefits totaling over 88,000 hryvnias.

Among his financial assets, the judge declared $15,000 in cash and over 3,200 hryvnias in a bank account. His wife reported $30,000 and 420,000 hryvnias in cash, as well as funds in accounts at Ukrainian banks, Revolut Bank in Lithuania, and Erste Bank in Austria.

The declaration also states that the judge has two outstanding loans of $12,500 each, taken out at the end of 2022.

In addition to his annual declaration, Andriy Alekseev submitted a notification of significant changes in his financial status. In it, he reported that on July 2, 2026, he sold real estate to Ukrainian citizen Iryna Petrenko for 1,830,600 hryvnias.
