A former presenter from Kherson was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison for collaborating with the occupiers. She headed the "information department" during the occupation, fled the city and is now deprived of her property and the right to work in the government.

This was reported by Detector.media with reference to the court verdict.

The Kherson City Court found former journalist and TV host Tetiana Levandovska guilty of collaboration. According to the court, she was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison with confiscation of all property and a 15-year ban on holding positions in government, state and municipal institutions.

The court found that in 2022, during the temporary occupation of Kherson, Levandovska voluntarily agreed to head the so-called "Department of Media and Public Relations" within the occupation administration. Two witnesses confirmed that she visited the premises of the occupation authorities on a daily basis and personally registered her presence in the relevant journals.

In the fall of that year, the woman left Kherson with the retreating Russian troops. The court ruled to confiscate the convict's house, three apartments and a 2013 Nissan Leaf. The verdict has not yet entered into force.

Prior to the full-scale invasion, Levandovska worked as a presenter for the Kherson Regional TV and Radio Company "Scythia", hosted author programs, cooperated with Suspilne as a private entrepreneur, and administered social media for the Kherson Water Utility.

In December 2024, the National Police of Ukraine notified Kherson journalist Tetiana Levandovska of suspicion of collaboration. In March 2024, Levandovska was expelled from the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine for collaborating with the occupation administration.

According to media reports, she was a close friend of Volodymyr Saldo and Vitaliy Bulyuk, former politicians who defected to the occupiers. Previously, Levandovska was involved in their PR, and after the capture of Kherson, she was appointed press secretary of the occupation administration.

Journalist Halyna Yermyshko from Henichesk was also notified of suspicion for collaborating with the occupation authorities and spreading pro-Russian propaganda. She ran a newspaper and worked in the press service of the so-called administration.
