On the night of October 12, explosions were heard in occupied Crimea in the area of Yevpatoria and at the “Gvardeyskoye” military airfield near Simferopol. In the morning, satellite images showed heat signatures near the airfield’s runway, which may indicate a fire.

This was reported by the monitoring Telegram channel “Crimean Wind.”

According to the channel, explosions were heard near the airfield after midnight. Subscribers also reported seeing a glow on the airfield’s grounds.

The heat signatures were spotted near the southeastern part of the runway. However, the report does not specify what might have been burning or whether the airfield sustained any damage.
