Pivdennoukrainsk is a city in Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine, and the administrative center of Pivdennoukrainsk City Community in Voznesensk District. The city emerged in 1975 as a settlement during the construction of Pivdennoukrainsk Nuclear Power Plant on the banks of the Southern Bug River, and from 1987 it received the status of a city of regional subordination. In 2024, the city was renamed from Yuzhnoukrainsk to Pivdennoukrainsk as part of Ukraine's process of decolonizing place names.
