World Wildlife Day is an international date proclaimed by the UN on March 3 to commemorate the signing of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). This day is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of wildlife, its biodiversity, and the need for its protection. In Ukraine, World Wildlife Day is celebrated with various environmental education activities, including excursions, quests, and programs in zoos and nature conservation institutions aimed at promoting knowledge about local fauna and flora.
