A windstorm is a powerful atmospheric phenomenon characterized by extremely strong winds (over 30 m/sec) and can cause significant destruction on land and severe wave conditions at sea. Such phenomena include hurricanes, storms, and windthrows, which pose a serious threat to infrastructure, housing, and human safety. On the territory of Ukraine, windstorms can damage power grids, agricultural lands, and other critical infrastructure facilities, especially in southern regions.
