Weigh-in-motion system on roads

Weigh-in-motion is a system of automatic control of vehicle weight during their movement without stopping. Devices are installed on roads to register the load on axles and the total weight of trucks passing through a control point. This technology makes it possible to detect overloaded vehicles and ensure compliance with traffic regulations. On Ukrainian highways, in particular on the bridge across the Khadjibey Estuary on the Kyiv-Odesa route, the implementation of these systems is aimed at monitoring road conditions and traffic safety.
