Vitaliy Borovik
Vitaly Borovyk was a Ukrainian publicist, poet, and translator of the late 19th and early 20th century, born in Nizhyn, who worked and died in Odesa. He was an active figure in Ukrainian cultural and public life, connected with the Prosvita society and the dissident movement. His contribution to the development of Ukrainian literature and public thought is noted in the city's history, particularly through the naming of one of Odesa's streets after him.
