Taurian Painting: Tradition and Art

Tavrian painting is a traditional direction of Ukrainian decorative and applied art, widespread in the Mykolaiv region. This distinctive decoration style combines maritime themes with steppe motifs, the symbolism of protective charms, and the characteristic color palette of the Black Sea region. Tavrian painting is an element of Ukraine's intangible cultural heritage, included in the National register of protected cultural traditions.
