Tactical medicine and training of military medics
Tactical medicine is the provision of first aid in combat conditions, aimed at preserving the lives of the wounded and sick on the battlefield and during evacuation. It takes into account the specifics of military conflicts and provides for training military personnel, police officers, volunteers, and civilians in emergency medical care skills in extreme conditions. Tactical medicine is based on international protocols and algorithms, such as MARCH and TCCC, which determine the sequence of actions to minimize mortality. In Ukraine, it is particularly relevant in the context of Russian aggression and the need to prepare medical personnel to work on the front lines.
