Reshat Ametov

Resat Ametov is a Crimean Tatar activist and human rights defender who became the first victim of Russian aggression against Ukraine. He was killed by Russian occupiers on March 15, 2014, during the annexation of Crimea. In honor of Resat Ametov, streets in Ukrainian cities are being renamed, particularly in Odesa, as a symbol of remembrance for fallen patriots and the struggle for Ukraine's independence.
