Prohibited Symbols in Ukraine
Prohibited symbols are symbols and attributes whose use is banned by Ukrainian legislation. These are primarily communist and Soviet symbols, as well as Nazi symbols and other signs associated with totalitarian regimes and hostile states. Decommunization legislation and protection against propaganda provide for the dismantling of such symbols from public places, the prohibition of their public use and distribution. Materials on this topic cover cases of detection and removal of prohibited symbols, as well as legal and public actions regarding the decolonization of Ukraine.
