Postage Stamps of Ukraine
A postage stamp is a valuable paper that certifies the payment of postal delivery and is used by being affixed to mail items and subsequently cancelled with a postmark. Ukrposhta regularly releases series of stamps dedicated to important events, places, and themes of Ukrainian history and culture — from the deoccupation of Crimea to local landmarks and heroes. Special cancellations of stamps in various cities of Ukraine (Mykolaiv, Kherson, and others) are part of promoting the postal service and national symbolism. Philately — the science of postage stamps — remains an important part of cultural heritage.
