Odesa Decolonization

Odesa Decolonization is a project aimed at reconsidering the history and culture of Odesa through the lens of decolonization, that is, liberation from the influence of imperial heritage and reassessment of the city's role in Ukrainian and world history. The project includes discussions, presentations, and research aimed at identifying Odesa's unique contribution to the development of culture, science, and civil society. The initiative examines the figures and ideas that shaped the city and their significance for Ukraine and the world. It is part of a broader movement to reconsider the historical heritage of Ukrainian cities in the context of national identity and independence.
