Oaths and Vows in Ukraine

An oath is an official solemn commitment given by individuals upon entering state service, joining military formations, or assuming other particularly responsible positions. An oath combines legal and moral norms, being established both by legislation and traditions. It is a mandatory requirement for military personnel, law enforcement officers, state officials, and other individuals entrusted with important functions in society.
