NUS is a school reform introduced by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in 2017. It provides for the updating of curricula, teaching methods, and material and technical base of schools, aimed at developing critical thinking, creativity, and civic awareness of students. The reform gradually covers all grades of general education institutions in Ukraine, including the renovation of classrooms, procurement of modern equipment, and modernization of workshops.
