NMT and admission to higher education institutions

NMT is the National Multidisciplinary Test, a standardized exam for admission to higher education institutions in Ukraine. The test covers the main subjects of the school curriculum and replaced the previous system of entrance exams. NMT is conducted centrally and is mandatory for applicants who wish to enter universities and other higher education institutions. Test results affect the competitiveness of applicants during admission and often provoke public discussion regarding the quality of education and the fairness of the assessment system.
