nationalization
Nationalization is the process of transferring private property to state ownership. On Ukrainian platforms, this term is often used in the context of the seizure of Ukrainian property by Russian occupying authorities in Crimea and on occupied territories, as well as in the context of confiscation of assets of Russian oligarchs and companies in response to aggression. It also refers to measures taken by the Ukrainian government to control strategic assets and prevent their use for the benefit of the enemy.
