Poster of events at the Kherson Art Museum
The Kherson Art Museum named after Oleksiy Shovkunenko is one of the leading cultural institutions in the city of Kherson, located in the building of the former city town hall. The museum preserves a collection of Ukrainian art works, including works by artist Oleksiy Shovkunenko, after whom it is named. During the Russian occupation, the museum suffered from looting and damage, but continues its activities by organizing exhibitions both in Kherson and in other cities of Ukraine. The institution is an important architectural landmark and a symbol of the preservation of Ukrainian culture.
