Khadjibei Liman is an estuarine lagoon on the northwestern coast of the Black Sea near Odesa, one of the most important water bodies in the region. This place is constantly in the focus of public attention and ecologists due to problems of pollution, shallowing, mass fish die-offs, and illegal waste dumping on its shores. The liman plays a critical role in water supply and the ecosystem of Odesa Oblast, but requires urgent measures for protection and restoration.
