An irrigation system is a complex of engineering structures designed to supply water to agricultural lands for the purpose of ensuring their irrigation. On the territory of Ukraine, such systems are of particular importance for southern regions, namely Odesa and Kherson oblasts, where they allow maintaining land productivity under arid conditions. The restoration and modernization of irrigation systems is an important task for the development of local agriculture and attracting investments into the regional economy.
