The Heavenly Hundred is the name given to heroes who died during the Euromaidan (Revolution of Dignity) from December 2013 to February 2014 in the struggle for Ukraine's independence and democracy. Officially recognized as victims by Ukrainian authorities on February 21, 2014, they became a symbol of peaceful protest and sacrifice in Ukrainian history. The memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred is honored throughout the country, including in cities of southern Ukraine, as a symbol of the struggle for justice and national dignity.
