Folk Calendar

The folk calendar is a system of historically formed dates, events, and observations that are celebrated throughout the year in Ukrainian culture. The calendar is based on agricultural traditions, church holidays, and folk festivities connected to the cycles of nature and agricultural work. The calendar reflects centuries-old knowledge and customs of East Slavic peoples, including weather signs, rituals, and celebrations that shaped the rhythm of Ukrainian life. It is an important element in preserving and transmitting national cultural heritage.
