ETIAS is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, a new EU requirement for citizens of visa-exempt countries traveling to the Schengen area. The system provides for electronic registration and authorization before entry, similar to the American ESTA. The launch of ETIAS has been postponed several times and is planned for 2025. For Ukrainians who are eligible for visa-free entry to the EU, this system will have practical significance when planning trips to European countries.
