Events from the State Ecological Inspection of Ukraine
The State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine is a central executive authority that carries out state supervision and control in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources. The Inspection is responsible for the protection of land, forests, water, atmospheric air, preservation of biological diversity, control over waste management, and ensuring environmental security. Its activities are coordinated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine. At the local level, environmental inspectors conduct inspections for violations of environmental legislation and impose fines on violators.
