Dust from the Sahara: air pollution

The phenomenon when winds carry sand and dust from the Sahara to the territory of Ukraine, especially to the southern regions. This natural phenomenon leads to air pollution, changes in the color of precipitation and visibility, affecting air quality in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and other regions. Such episodes are observed periodically, especially during the warm season, when atmospheric conditions favor transcontinental transport of aerosols.
