Dniester
The Dniester is a river that flows through the territories of Ukraine and Moldova, emptying into the Black Sea. In the Odesa region, the Dniester forms a liman, which is an important ecosystem for birds and marine fauna. The river is significant for the local economy, fishing, and tourism, but also requires protection from pollution and environmental threats. The Dniester unites communities of both countries in joint efforts to preserve its natural resources.
