Deferment
A deferment is a postponement for a certain period of the execution of a certain obligation or punishment, in particular a deferment from mobilization during military operations. This term is also used in criminal law as a form of exemption from punishment on the condition of its non-reinstatement under certain circumstances. In Ukraine, the issue of deferments is regulated by legislation and judicial practice, and is especially relevant during martial law.
