The destruction of dams and its consequences
Dam destruction is a topic dedicated to the destruction of hydraulic structures, particularly dams and embankments that were blown up during Russian aggression in Ukraine. The most resonant case was the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station in Kherson region, which had serious ecological and humanitarian consequences for the region. Materials on this topic cover the impact of such events on water resources, ecosystems, agriculture and the population of southern regions of Ukraine, as well as processes of nature recovery after disasters.
