Concession projects and tenders
A concession is an agreement under which a state or territorial community transfers its economic facilities (ports, terminals, enterprises, etc.) to private individuals or companies for temporary paid operation. The concessionaire receives the right to manage the facility for a specified period, assuming obligations regarding its development, maintenance, and modernization. Such agreements are often used to attract investments in critical infrastructure, particularly port terminals and transport facilities. In Ukraine, concession projects are an important mechanism for developing port and transport networks.
